2. How would you explain who you are in Christ from Romans 8:15- 17? How are you God’s child and an heir? What have you inherited?

Follow UP in the Word through the Week…

Monday:

Read: Matthew 5:21-28

In what way does Jesus’ words set us free? How would these words remove our obligation to our sinful nature?

Tuesday:

Read: Romans 8:1-2

The promise is a life free of condemnation. How would you describe this to someone else if you are living in this promise now? The second verse lets us know that we are set free by the law of the Spirit of life. What is that freedom like as you read the New Testament? What are we freed from? What are we free to do?

Wednesday:

Read: Mark 14:36

What is the context of this prayer of Jesus? How does Jesus address the Father in this prayer? How does Paul say we can address the Father in Romans 8:15? What is that fellowship like?

Thursday:

Read: Galatians 5:16-18

What is the conflict that takes place according to these verses? How do you experience this very conflict? Are you walking by the Spirit?

Friday:

Read: Romans 8:23-24

How would you explain adoption? What does our adoption as “sons and daughters” look like according to this passage? How do you view your adoption into the Father’s family?

Saturday:

Read: Titus 3:5-7

Why did our Savior save us? How can these verses be used to explain the entire gospel to someone? How do these verses trace our salvation from God’s mercy to eternal inheritance?
