Reflection:

1. Have you ever witnessed God’s work in an immeasurable way?

2. In what ways do you force your metric or measurement on the Lord and His work?

Follow UP in the WORD through the Week…

Monday:

Read: Haggai 2:20-22

Haggai is proclaiming the Lord’s message about the Israelite governor of the people of his time. What is the claim God is making about the governor? If you heard these words about your governor what would you think?

Tuesday:

Read: Luke 2:29-35

Simeon is making these claims to Mary as they are bringing their sacrifice to the Temple for the birth of Jesus. How have we seen this prophecy come true in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus?

Wednesday:

Read: Matthew 28:11-20

In what ways is Jesus asking those early 11 disciples to throw away their “tape measure” when it came to ? How does this challenge you the mission to which they were called today?

Thursday:

Read: Colossians 3:23-24

This is a command to slaves according to the letter to the Colossians. Have you applied this to the everyday work you do? How have you seen God at work as you have?

Friday:

Read: 1 Corinthians 1:28-29

What claim does Paul make here? How does this inform your understanding of the “presence of God”?

Saturday:

Read: Psalm 46:10

When was the last time you were still in the presence of God? Contemplate the final statement of the verse. What portion of that have you witnessed?
